Multi-product creation beta:

Create multiple products

What is changing?
Merch is offering a product creation beta allowing you to publish multiple products in multiple marketplaces with a single submission.

Why are we making this change?

We are streamlining the product creation process to make it as quick and easy as possible to use the same artwork and metadata to create multiple products.

How do I access the new product creation beta?

The beta is accessible under the create link in the navigation. Please note that all other links and buttons on the page will direct to the current single product creation flow.

New mulit-product creation

How is the new product creation workflow different?

Instead of uploading an artwork file and adding metadata for each product in each marketplace, the new process will apply artwork and metadata to available products in each marketplace. To distinguish products, we will append the product name to your title. For instance, if your design is titled “I Really Love Cats OK?,” we will add the word “T-Shirt” to the end of the t-shirt title so it will display as “I Really Love Cats OK? T-Shirt.”

What product names will you append to each product?

  • US, UK, and DE T-Shirts: T-Shirt
  • Hoodies: Pullover Hoodie
  • Sweatshirts: Sweatshirt
  • Long Sleeve T-Shirts: Long Sleeve T-Shirt
  • PopSockets: PopSockets Grip and Stand for Phones and Tablets

Can I submit to Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.de at the same time?

Yes. you

Do I still need to create separate artwork for the front image on hoodies created through the multiple product creation workflow?

Yes, all of the current image size requirements will remain the same

If I am publishing to Amazon.de and do not provide a German translation, will Amazon do it for me?

No, you will need to provide the translated text. If you do not provide translated text, your detail page will be published in English.

Can I use different titles, brands, or descriptions for each product?

No. If you want to use individual titles, brands or descriptions for different products you will need to upload them using the single product creation workflow.

Can I choose a different list price for each product and marketplace?

Yes.

If I submit a design to multiple products, will I get one email when my design is live or separate emails for each product?

You will receive a separate email for each product

If a design submitted through the multiple products beta is rejected, will I receive one rejection email or individual rejection emails for each product?

When you submit designs through the multiple products workflow, each product will count as a separate submission and will be reviewed individually. If a design is rejected, for one or more products, you will receive an email notification for each individual product.

Will all of the existing product creation features be available in the beta version?

No. The following features are not currently enabled in the beta creation workflow:

  • PopSockets is not yet a product option
  • Unsubmitted changes cannot be saved to a draft status
  • Undiscoverable sample products cannot be created
Edit location in Manage

How do I edit the new products created with this Beta?

All products created through the beta will be accessible though the manage page along with all your other existing products. Choose which product you would like to change using the Actions > Edit button, as you normally do.

Will I still be able to use the original product creation workflow during the beta period?

Yes. During the beta period enabled accounts will have the option of creating products through either the beta or the original product creation workflow.

Can I convert my old products to this new feature?

No. At this time all of your existing products will remain in the current single product process.

How are my overall product and daily submission limits affected?

To start, product and daily submission limits will continue to be based on the number of products submitted. So, if you have 50 new submissions remaining for the day and submit a single design on four US products, one UK product, and one DE product, that will count as six submissions and you will have 44 daily submissions remaining.

When will my account be enabled for the beta?

We will be enabling accounts in phases over the next several months. Please note that we will not be able to provide updates on access for individual accounts.

How can I stay updated on changes made to the beta?

We will update this space when changes are made to the beta.

  • 4/11: Confirmation emails are no longer sent for beta submissions
  • 4/4: Maximum colors per product increased from 5 to 10
  • 4/2: EU royalties bug fixed
